I have included my comments below. However, I am using PAF5. I hope the
information I am providing is of some help . . . I hope that some of the
information will be similar.

I would guess that your own personal doc # is something that allows you to
go from your source in PAF to your file cabinet (or wherever the actual
documents are stored). If this is the case, I would probably suggest doing
something similar to the following:
Source Title    --->    Family Records: Fitch, Joyce
Author             --->    Fitch, Joyce
Publication Info    --->    Collection of miscellaneous records
Call number         --->    Mar017

In other words, your doc # would be considered your call #.

Depending on exactly what you are putting in PAF, I might suggest putting
the information in "Actual Text".

The most helpful place I found was within the Help Topics under "Citing
Source". Again, I hope this helps you in some way.
