[PAF] Have at it...

OK, I needed that report out of PAF4, so I GED'ed a copy of the
descendants of RIN #1 into PAF4.

I went to reports, created a custom report -- select: DESCENDANTS, where
a birth date EXISTS and a death date EXISTS.

Attempt #1: Select Descendants gave me 13,641 people. Add the two filters
and the number drops to 3274. OK, that's cool; lot of living folks in the
data. Include name, bd, dd, age-at-death age-at-marriage; sort by (don't
recall). Print report to file. Open file. Cannot find my GF, his
brother, their sister, their uncle (d aged 102), or their first cousin.
These are people I KNEW, I have these dates, it's in there.  56 pg report;
sorted randomly -- not alpha, not RIN, not age-at-death, not bd.

Open PAF again, double-check database, and sure'nuff they're in there and
so are the dates.

Attempt #2: Select Descendants gives me 13,545 people. Add the two
filters and it drops to 3269. go to the print-report screen, it says
there are 2735 people in the report. includ name, bd, db, age-at-death;
sort by AGE AT DEATH. Print to file; open; those known to be missing from
the first report are IN the 2nd, but some who were in the first aren't in
the second. 50 page report. Second report is in fact sorted by age at death.

Ran file-check: Your data has no problems.

Well, SOMETHING has a problem.

The number of descendants shouldn't have changed; nor should the number
of people with a birth and death date. I can't see any reason more than
400 people vanished between one screen and the next.

Anyone know where to look to fix it? Or least figure out WHAT the problem
is so I can work around it? Or did this database hit the limit of PAF4's
abilities?
