Re: [PAF] PAF 5.0 Question

Most of the printing problems with PAF 5.0 are because people do not have the latest printer driver installed.   Here is a message from Steve Cannon, LDS Famiuly History Department that tells more:
According to Microsoft, the problem is caused by defective printer drivers that cannot support something called "glyph indexing".  You should contact the maker of
your printer and request an updated printer driver that contains that support.  In some cases a newer printer driver will solve the problem.  In some cases you can
use a printer driver for a slightly different priniter.  The reason that PAF uncovers this bug and that some other programs don't is that PAF was built to be able to
print characters from all the world's languages.

In the next update of PAF we will be able to detect the situation where the printer driver is defective and fall back to an older method for printing.  This will solve the
problem for latin-based languages (including US, Europe, etc.), but you still won't be able to print certain languages or characters until the printer manufacturer fixes
the problem in the driver.

Check to see if you have the latest driver.
Good luck, Richard

Hope this is the right place to post this.
  I D/L PAF 5.0 & it works pretty well - but I can't run any reports. It
tells me there is not enough printable space to print the report & to make
changes in Page Setup. But nothing I do in Page Setup makes any difference.
Am I doing something wrong - or is a fix on the way?

Thanks, (& sorry if this is not the address of the PAF List), Danny Brown
