Lyle;
I am not sure what list you sent this question to. It is
the most perplexing problem with PAF 5.0. I have two printers. One
has this problem (an older NEC lazer printer) and the other does not (a
newer Cannon inkjet). As I understand the problem it is due to a problem
with Windows and not PAF. The PAF 5.0 program has "disclosed" this problem
by using the glyph printing capability of Windows. This is necessary to
print languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
The most commonly "solution" is to go to the site for your printer
manufacturer and download a newer version of the printer driver for your
printer. Some people have substituted a driver for a more recent model of
printer from the same manufacturer. This was the solution suggested to me
by a person from the Family History Department. They tried hard,
but unfortunately, this did not work for me so I use the inkjet
printer.
