Re: [PAF] PAF 2.2 ? or upgrade ?
Depends. Do you _like_ Windows? If so, sure, may as well transfer it now.
If not, why bother? so long as the programs RUNS and does what you need
it to, stick with it.
Do you touch-type? If not, probably makes no difference; if so, you'll
hate the constant reaching for the mouse that WIN requires.
I have PAF 2.0, 2.2, 2.31, 3.0, 3.0M, and 4.0.4 My PREFERENCE is 2.2.
But, I touch-type at close to 100 wpm (500 cpm), am an experienced DOS
type, and have tens of thousands record-entries behind me -- I can
virtually input an entire family in my sleep in 2.2 3.x and 4.x are the
least convenient for me. But they do each do something I like having
done for me.
Still, eventually, your DOS-box will die and you'll be shoved into using
a WIN program, so there's something to be said for changing NOW before
you develop a liking for poor ol' PAF 2.2. (g)
