Eleanor, the simplest way is to simply copy your entire file and give him
one copy. Then as you each find people you don't want in your file, you
just delete them.

Actually, since I'm paranoid, I'd keep a third copy of the entire file as
it stands today, and maybe even a backup of that 3rd copy. (g) In case
someone deletes someone they didn't mean to.

Kay: I have been able to do this on my direct line by going to the export
option highlight the name you want the ancestors for, and select Ancestors.
If you choose your husband it will select all his ancestors and you can then
create a file which would include his ancestors and then the same for your
own line. It appears to only select the direct line however. This has
worked for me. Regards John Totten

1. Choose your husband's name then select export (to another person).
2. At the bottom of the screen that comes up choose the options you
want:individual, family, ancestors. With each selection the names choosen
are checked.
3. Click NEXT STEP to continue.

Do the same for your name and keep all three files.

I am using PAF 3.0m in windows 95 and I was delighted to find when I was
looking for your solution that the mouse works on it.I also have PAF 2.31,
MAC PAF and I use Family Origins7 which is compatible with PAF 3.
