I use Mac PAF and transfer to PAF 3.0m without a problem. Recent Mac's
SE-30 or higher have Superdrive which accomodates PC disks and through
Apple File Exchange the GEDCOM is changed from the Mac single file to the
PC multifile Gedcom. Mac PAF asks which kind of computer you wish to make
the file for, DOS being one of the choices.
I have printed instructions that I got in Salt Lake City. Obviously she
must take the disks she has to find someone who has Mac PAF to do the
conversion since she no longer has the computer.
There is (or was) a Mac computer for this purpose in the Joseph Smith Mem.
Bldg. Family Search Area. I assume Family History Support has Macs also.I
know someone in the FHL who has a Mac if you would like to write me privately.

I used to work as a TA at the Brigham Young University Family History
Computer Lab in the Joseph Smith Building. The e-mail address a year ago
was famlabta@reled.byu.edu . We had a Mac there so we could deal with just
the problem you mention. Shoot 'em an e-mail with your Mac Paf file
attached; they love to help with stuff like this.
For the information of all those with GEDCOMS on Mac disks, here's another
help: If you want to make your disk readable on an IBM, but you don't have
a new-enough Mac to convert it, e-mail the GEDCOM to yourself, save the
attached GEDCOM on an IBM computer, and voila -- you've got an IBM GEDCOM.
