Greetings To All
================
I have just upgraded to PAF 3.0M and PAF Companion. After much delving I
am unable to find where to change the default setting for the body text
font and point size.
What have I missed?

The font and point size are changed in Preferences. From Home Base, click
Preferences. Scroll down to the bottom of the list. The last option under
Options is Fonts!
You can change the font on every report. You can change the font SIZE on
every report EXCEPT the Family Group Record.
Tip: If you have used long names and/or places, you can select "Small
Fonts", which gives you a choice of 2 to 7 points. Yes this is small, but
you will get everything on your chart that you have entered. No more
cut-off place names on pedigree charts. Any fonts that you have installed
in Windows will be displayed.
Another tip: Don't choose any of the script fonts, such as Shelley Volante,
as names that are printed in all caps are very hard to read,

Agreed! also spent "hours" trying to refind the screen where I could
select a typeface in PAF Companion. Try the following:
Home Base
Preferences
Options
General
Fonts
I have created an alphabetical list of capabilities and features of
PAF Companion. Each entry gives the path to reach it. If anyone would
like, I could post it. I call it Companion Pathfinder. I also have a
similar list for PAF 3.0.

Joan,
I had found the options that you metion but they do not change the default
setting which was my question. Do you know how to change the default??
In fact changing the font does not change the font when printing from Word97.

Subject: [PAF] Planning tips
Here are some planning tips if you take genealogy with you at a family
reunion...
Tom
***************************************
1) Start small.
2) Create a computer database of family members to make the next year's
planning easier.
3) Announce the reunion well in advance.
4) Negotiate early for good rates on blocks of rooms in hotels.
5) Send out a mailing of hotel and activities information. Ask for RSVPs.
6) Have games and sporting events for children. Everyone will have a
better time.
7) Have backup plans in case of bad weather or other emergencies.
8) Keep records of expenses to help plan the next reunion.
9) Provide reunion mementos: a family photo or video, T-shirts, a
collection of recipes.
10) At the end, do an evaluation to see what participants thought of the
place and the activities.
